Meet your guide at the Hollywood Pantages Theater, an Art Deco gem that hosted the Academy Awards for a decade. Stroll along the Hollywood Walk of Fame, then admire the Capitol Studios building, designed to resemble a stack of vinyl records.  Continue to the Security Trust and Savings Building, a financial hub for the film industry during Hollywood's Golden Age. Hear stories of Charlie Chaplin and Lana Turner banking here, and learn about Howard Hughes' jewelry collection stored in its vaults. 

Next, see the Warner Hollywood Theater, one of the original Warner Bros. theaters, and hear ghost stories about its founder, Sam Warner. Visit the Hillview Apartments, built in 1917 to house actors when many landlords refused to rent to them.  

Stop at Janes House, the last remaining Victorian residence on Hollywood Boulevard, and learn about the school operated by the Janes sisters. Then, visit Musso and Frank Grill, Hollywood's oldest restaurant, frequented by stars like Charlie Chaplin and Marilyn Monroe.  

See the Vogue Theater, featured in Tarantino's "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood," and the Egyptian Theater, Sid Grauman's first Hollywood theater, now owned by Netflix. If your tour is later in the day, you might have the chance to access the exhibition inside the theater.  

Continue to Mel’s Drive-In, a classic American diner, and the El Capitan Theater, where "Citizen Kane" premiered. 

Visit the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel, rumored to be haunted by Marilyn Monroe's ghost, and see the Magic Castle from a distance.  Finally, see the Chinese Theater, home to the famous handprints, and the Dolby Theatre, the permanent home of the Academy Awards. End your tour with a view of the Hollywood Sign from Level 4 of the Ovation Hollywood complex, a great spot for photos.
